Child trafficking report

WILLMAR — A woman reported Sunday night to the Willmar Police Department that she believes her daughter was being trafficked.

She was advised that it was under the jurisdiction of the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and the woman made a report to them.

The case is active and the report to the Sheriff’s Office is considered private data, according to the Kandiyohi County Records Office.

Damage to cameras

WILLMAR — Damage to two video cameras was reported Monday morning on a building on the 1000 block of Kandiyohi County Road 9 Northeast.

Theft

PENNOCK — A theft was reported Monday morning on the 200 block of Third Street Northwest.

Accident in work zone

BROOTEN — There was a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning at the intersection of Second Street and Central Avenue, according to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a Minneapolis woman was transported by ambulance to Glenwood Hospital.

The intersection is currently under construction and the Sheriff's Office reminds people that traffic flowing east and west on Second Street has the right of way and traffic flowing north and south on Central Avenue is controlled by stop signs.

Willmar police to decide about new device designed for non-compliant people or those with mental illnesses

WILLMAR — The Willmar Police Department is currently looking into purchasing a new less-than-lethal device called the BolaWrap that seeks to offer officers an opportunity to de-escalate encounters with the public before more powerful force is used.

WILLMAR — A 31-year-old Montevideo man is in custody after leading law officers in Kandiyohi County on a high-speed chase in Dovre Township at 6:44 p.m. on Friday.
