SPICER — A report was filed at 2:56 p.m. Saturday that kids were lighting off fireworks and had started a neighbor’s ditch on fire in the 15000 block of East Calhoun Road. The “kids and parents were educated,” according to the police report


WILLMAR — A woman called law enforcement at 8:41 p.m. to report that her boyfriend had thrown her to the ground, had her in a chokehold and took her phone as she attempted to call for help during an incident in the 400 block of Juli Street Southeast. She went to a relative’s home, where she called law enforcement.

WILLMAR — A 23-year-old man was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of 12 Street Northwest on outstanding warrants from the Minnesota Department of Corrections and Meeker County.

WILLMAR — A 24-year-old man was arrested on a warrant at 3:07 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Second Street Southwest.


ATWATER — Emergency crews responded to a report at 12:51 a.m. Saturday that an intoxicated individual tripped and hit their head at a residence in the 14000 block of Breezy Point Road. The individual was unconscious for about five minutes, according to the report the individual was taken to Carris Health - Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.


WILLMAR — An Apple watch valued at $500 was reported stolen at 7:12 p.m. Saturday from a vehicle in the 400 block of Becker Avenue Southwest.

WILLMAR — A car window was reported broken at 2:07 p.m. in the 900 block of Becker Avenue Southeast.

Fake $20

WILLMAR — A counterfeit $20 bill that had been received by a business July 13, was provided as evidence to local law enforcement Friday afternoon.
