NEW LONDON — A 23-year-old man was arrested late Friday night in the 14000 block of Minnesota Highway 23 Northeast. He was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing the legal process and giving a false name to a peace officer. He was still in the Kandiyohi County Jail on Sunday.

WILLMAR — A 31-year-old man was arrested Friday morning on a Minnesota Department of Corrections warrant in the 1400 block of Lakeland Drive Northeast.

3 teens injured, one severely, in Renville County ATV crash

SACRED HEART — Three teens were injured, one severely, in an all-terrain vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Renville County about eight miles southeast of Sacred Heart.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash after a 911 call shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday.

The caller reported that the ATV had rolled in the ditch and trapped the driver underneath at the intersection of 145th Street and 180th Street in Sacred Heart South Township, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

When first responders arrived, the driver had been freed by the two passengers. The driver, Trevor Peterson, 15, of Sacred Heart, was treated and flown from the scene to the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis with severe injuries, according to the release.

The two passengers, Jason Jansen, 15, of Renville, and Javin Mugai, 16, of Echo, suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Sacred Heart Fire and Rescue, Sacred Heart Medical Response Unit, CentraCare EMS-Redwood Falls and North Memorial Air Care also responded to the scene.

Willmar woman injured in crash in Worthington

WORTHINGTON — A Willmar woman was injured Friday in a two-vehicle crash on state Highway 60 near Worthington.

Jaclyn Rae Kooistra, 26, of Willmar, was taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the State Patrol report, Kooistra’s Ford Taurus and a Ford pickup driven by Donald Lee Anderson, 82, of Waukee, Iowa, were both traveling south on Highway 60. They collided shortly before 4 p.m. Friday when Anderson attempted to turn onto County Road 4 and was struck by the Taurus.

Anderson was uninjured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene north of Bigelow.

Arkansas man seriously injured Friday in Yellow Medicine County crash

GRANITE FALLS — An Arkansas man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday night on Minnesota Highway 67 in Granite Falls.

According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, Daniel Wayne Scott, 32, of Magnolia, Arkansas, suffered life-threatening injuries when his Ford van left Highway 67 in Minnesota Falls Township shortly after 9 p.m. Friday southeast of Granite Falls.

Scott was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office, Upper Sioux Police Department and Granite Falls Police Department also responded to the scene.

Benson man sentenced to 78 months in prison for 18 child porn felonies

BENSON — A Benson man was sentenced Tuesday to 78 months for 18 felony counts regarding downloading and disseminating child pornography on various social media platforms.

As search for Eric Reinbold continues, advocates urge domestic violence awareness

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — An obituary recalls Lissette Reinbold as a friendly, social person who learned to work hard at an early age and who loved snowmobiling with her dad. She was a loving mother to her children, described in the obituary as "a dance mom, soccer mom, basketball mom, theater mom, softball mom and swimming mom," who last month began work as an insurance representative at Sanford Health in Thief River Falls, Minn.

It has been two weeks since Reinbold, 34, was found dead in her Oklee, Minn., home, and her killer has not yet been caught. Authorities are seeking her husband, Eric Reinbold, who is considered the primary suspect in the homicide investigation.
