Two hurt in crash west of Clara City
CLARA CITY — Two people were treated at the CCM Health Hospital in Montevideo following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 7 and 100th Avenue west of Clara City in Stoneham Township of Chippewa County at 7:10 p.m. on Friday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Symphony Michelle Twohy, 30, and her passenger, Matthew Harold Twohy, 30, both of St. Paul, were treated for non life-threatening injuries. A third passenger, a juvenile male, no age listed, was not injured.
Symphony Twohy was driving a 2013 GMC Terrain westbound on Highway 7.
All in the Terrain vehicle were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor.
Benjamin Ross Peterson, 37, of Clara City, was driving a 2018 Ford F150 northbound on 100th Avenue. The vehicles collided in the intersection, according to the accident report.
Peterson was not reported as injured. He was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was listed as a factor for Peterson in the accident report.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Clara City Police and Ambulance and CCM Health Ambulance responded to the accident.
WILLMAR — Two car fires were reported over the weekend in Willmar. The Willmar Fire Department was called for a fire at 2:02 a.m. on Saturday on the 1300 block of U.S. Highway 12 East in Wilmar.
The firefighters were called to a car fully involved in fire at 5:28 a.m. Sunday on the 400 block of 15th Avenue Southwest.
WILLMAR — A male suspect punched a security guard in the face at Carris Health-Rice Memorial Hospital on Becker Avenue Southwest. The incident was reported at 11:13 a.m. Saturday.
WILLMAR — The owner of a red Honda Civic reported Sunday morning that it was stolen from a location on the 2500 block of U.Highway 12 East in Willmar.
Arrest in a vehicle crash
WILLMAR — A 20-year-old male was arrested following a vehicle crash on the 3500 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest at 9:31 p.m. on Saturday.
WILLMAR — A 44-year-old man was arrested in connection with a vehicle going off the road and into the water at King Lake on 60th Avenue Northeast and First Street North, or south of Long Lake by Willmar, at 11:13 p.m. on Friday.
WILLMAR — Items were stolen from a counter at a business on the 400 block of First Street South around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Hit and run
WILLMAR — A silver Equinox was sought after reports of a hit-and-run accident near a business on the 1100 block of Business Highway 71 Northeast Willmar at 10:47 p.m. Friday. The vehicle was seen leaving a club and proceeding south on Business Highway 71 towards Willmar.
WILLMAR — Graffiti was reported inside a building on the 400 block of 15th Avenue Southwest at 7:31 a.m. Sunday.
WILLMAR — New graffiti was reported on the walking bridge between High Avenue Northeast and Porto Rico Street Northeast on Saturday night.
WILLMAR — New graffiti was reported on the First Street bridge on Saturday night.
