ATV driver airlifted
MORGAN — The driver of an all-terrain vehicle was airlifted after he lost control and rolled the vehicle Saturday evening near the intersection of Redwood County Road 2 and 260th Street in rural Morgan.
The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office reported that Matthew Olson, 26, was airlifted to a hospital with severe injuries. HIs address was not listed.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, Morgan Ambulance and Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance and North Air Care in responding to the accident reported at approximately 5:48 p.m. Saturday.
Three hurt in rollover west of Granite Falls
GRANITE FALLS — A driver and his passengers were injured at 11:24 p.m. Saturday when their vehicle left U.S. Highway 212 west of Granite Falls and rolled in a ditch.
Ronald Leroy Henrichs, 75, of Watertown, South Dakota, was driving a 2003 Dodge Dakota westbound on Highway 212 near 310th Avenue in Stony Run Township of Yellow Medicine County when the vehicle left the roadway, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Henrichs and passengers Ronald Wesley Crocker, 82, of Watertown, South Dakota, and Shirley Jean Crocker, 82, also of Watertown, South Dakota, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Avera Granite Falls Health Center. Alcohol was not a factor. The driver and Shirley Crocker were wearing seat belts, and Ronald Crocker was not, according to the report.
Granite Falls Fire, Police and Ambulance and Upper Sioux Community Police responded to the accident.
One hurt in Highway 7 crash
MONTEVIDEO — A 21-year-old Montevideo man was transported to the hospital in Montevideo for non-life-threatening injuries at 2:40 p.m. Saturday following a collision involving a car and semitractor on Minnesota Highway 7 in Leenthrop Township of Chippewa County.
Carl William Wyckoff was driving a 2005 Honda Civic eastbound on Highway 7. The car and a 1998 Peterbilt driven by Larry Dean Meyer, 76, of Granite Falls, collided. Meyer was not injured.
Both vehicles were eastbound on Highway 7 when they collided, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Alcohol was not a factor, and Wyckoff was wearing a seat belt. Meyer was not, according to the report.
ATWATER — The front of a house on the 600 block of Main Street South was vandalized, it was reported Sunday morning.
ATWATER — A lawn paver and lawn items were vandalized at a property on the 15000 block of 49th Avenue Northeast, it was reported Friday afternoon.
WILLMAR — A storm door was damaged and pushed in beyond its frame by pumpkins tossed at it on the 300 block of Augusta Avenue Southeast, according to a report made Sunday morning.
WILLMAR — A window frame was damaged on a building on the 1000 block of Litchfield Avenue Southwest, according to a report made Saturday morning.
WILLMAR — A window was reported broken with a brick Friday afternoon on the 400 block of Sixth Street Southwest.
WILLMAR — A window was shot out with a BB gun on the 900 block of Kandiyohi Avenue Southwest, it was reported Friday morning.
WILLMAR — The owner of a vehicle reported its theft Sunday morning from the 300 block of Lakeland Drive Southeast.
WILLMAR — A mobile phone was stolen from a restaurant on the 1200 block of First Street South, it was reported Saturday evening.
WILLMAR — Items were taken from a motor vehicle parked on the 100 block of Becker Avenue Southeast, it was reported Friday morning.
WILLMAR — A male was transported to the Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital emergency department for an evaluation after an incident at 10:43 a.m. Friday on the 700 block of Park Avenue Northwest. A Willmar Police Department officer initially advised the man not to walk on people’s lawns and property and to leave the area.
The officer returned shortly after the man was spotted in water along a side road. Asked what he was doing, the individual waded into chest deep water and said he was cleaning himself and started to wash his face and hands. The officer asked the man to come out of the water and transported him for an evaluation.
WILLMAR — A small plastic bag reported to contain 0.5 grams of methamphetamine was recovered at 1:44 p.m. Saturday after being dropped by somebody out of range of video surveillance on the 400 block of First Street South.
Light pole knocked down
SPICER — A light pole was knocked over and blocked a lane of traffic at 8:50 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of Lake Avenue North in Spicer.
