OLIVIA — A 32-year-old woman was arrested on a Kandiyohi County warrant Tuesday morning in Olivia.

The woman was transported to the Kandiyohi County Jail without incident.

As of Tuesday afternoon, she was not listed as in custody.


NEW LONDON — A catalytic converter was reported stolen Tuesday morning on the 17000 block of U.S. Highway 71 Northeast.

Grove City man sentenced to seven years for 2020 shooting

Carl Henry Leaf, 18, of Grove City, is the third of four co-defendants to be sentenced for his role in the October 2020 shooting of a rural Litchfield man that prosecutors called a revenge plot to "rough up" a man that allegedly sold methamphetamine to one of the defendants. Leaf was charged as the shooter in the incident.

Fire under investigation after Willmar storage building, contents destroyed Monday

A fire Monday in a southwest Willmar storage unit is under investigation. A storage building and its contents are a total loss, according to a news release from Willmar Fire Chief Frank Hanson. Firefighters were called shortly before 9 a.m. Monday and were on the scene until around 3 p.m.

Willmar man arrested Saturday following standoff with police in Willmar

A 30-year-old Willmar man was arrested after stabbing a knife through a door several times and threatening to shoot officers who attempted to talk to him. The man eventually surrendered to law enforcement after an hour and half of negotiations.
