WILLMAR -- Ridgewater College held Dakota County Tech of Rosemount to a single goal for over 60 minutes before the Blue Knights erupted to crush the Warriors 6-0 Monday.
The Blue Knights, a third-year program playing in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, scored in the 63rd minute on consecutive bicycle kicks by Vincent Mbibi and Akey Jumale.
The close-in dazzling back-flips made near impossible stops for goalie Adam Hess, who finished with 17 saves.
"They were athletic, physical and passed the ball well," said Warriors' forward Luis Estrada. "We've got a long way to go, but we gave a good fight today."
