Dale Gatzemeyer

RAYMOND -- Dale Gatzemeyer, 70, of Raymond died Tuesday at the Clara City Care Center.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Raymond United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Raymond.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.

He was born July 9, 1936, in Chippewa County to Ray and Grace (Heike) Gatzemeyer. He grew up on a farm near Clara City and attended country school. He farmed with his father and later worked at Boelter Implement in Raymond.
He farmed for Vernon Lundahl near Lake Lillian and also worked at Boline Petroleum for a number of years. He worked for Midwest Alfalfa for 30 years, retiring in 1998.
He married Ruth Howard on Aug. 23, 1980, in Raymond. They lived in Raymond.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2334 in Willmar and a member of Raymond United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; children: Randy (and Jeanette) Gatzemeyer of Willmar, Timothy (and Karen) Gatzemeyer of Howard Lake, Mark (and Kris) Gatzemeyer of New London, Julie Howard of Chaska, Karen (and Dave) Cram of Willmar, Linda (and Mike) Bregel of Minnetonka, Sharon Mattson of Frostproof, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister: LaVonne (and Virgil) Dahlke of Windom.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
