PAYNESVILLE -- Darlene LaPearle Heairet, 73, of Paynesville died Wednesday at her home after a battle with cancer.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Paynesville Lutheran Church in Paynesville. Burial will be at the Paynesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Marshall to Clarence and Verna (Kiel) Buesing. She grew up on the family farm near Ghent. She attended country grade school and graduated from Minneota High School in 1951.
She married Harland Heairet on June 30, 1951, in Marshall. They lived in Illinois, South Carolina and Virginia while Harland was in the Navy. They moved to Clara City in 1954, then to Waconia and Clearwater. They moved to Regal in 1962, and then to Paynesville in 1973. She worked for Wally's GNT for several years and in sales for Olan Mills for 17 years. She retired in 2005.
She was a member of Paynesville Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by husband; children: Thomas Heairet of Paynesville, Kevin Heairet of Young, Ariz., Brad (and Jody) Heairet of McMinnville, Ore., David (and Nancy) Heairet of Albertville, Michelle (and Gene) Lahr of Grey Eagle, Janelle (and Mark) Leyendecker of Grove City, Laura (and Luke) Martinson of Paynesville; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings: Char (and Bill) Schroeder of Alexandria, Marilyn (and Glen) Hammerschmidt of Ramsey, Carolyn (and Curt) Bresson of Victoria, Pamela (and Herb) Brehm of El Paso, Texas, Robert (and Pat) Schultz of Tucson, Ariz., and Ron (and Sandy) Schultz of Albuquerque, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather: Al Schultz; one son: Douglas in 1973; and one granddaughter.
