WILLMAR -- Just 10 days after he was sentenced for having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl in Willmar, a 23-year-old Sartell man faces another criminal sexual conduct charge for getting a different 14-year-old girl pregnant.
Unconditional bail was set at $100,000 for Derrick Jose Arredondo, who faces a third-degree sex charge in Kandiyohi County District Court. Conditional bail was allowed for $50,000. He was ordered to have no contact with the girl or her family. His next appearance is Oct. 5.
Arrendondo was sentenced Aug. 16 to 48 months in prison, which was stayed, 15 years of probation, 145 days in jail and a $1,000 fine on a third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge.
He was also ordered to submit to a psycho-sexual evaluation, have no contact with the victim or her family and have no unsupervised contact with children or with minor females.
That charge was filed after a man reported to Willmar police that his 14-year-old daughter was receiving harassing text messages and calls from a man in Willmar. The man suspected the girl was having sex with the man, identified as Arredondo. Both the girl and Arredondo told police they had had sex and Arredondo said he knew how old the girl was.

The girl's mother had learned of the relationship and ended it.
According to the current complaint, Willmar police received information Aug. 12 from a police department in Oregon that a girl, now 15, had a sexual relationship with Arredondo and was in the third trimester of pregnancy with his baby.
The girl lived with her father in Kandiyohi County until June and kept in contact with Arredondo via e-mail and on Facebook. She told investigators in Oregon she had had sex with Arredondo in Willmar on many occasions and that he knew she was carrying his child.
The complaint outlines several text messages sent by Arredondo to the girl within hours of his Aug. 16 sentencing. He texted that he was to have no contact with girls under 18, asked the girl to keep their contact to herself or else he would be facing time. The texting continued with the girl telling him she had told investigators about him and the baby, and that he would be getting child support papers and possibly more criminal charges.
