GRANITE FALLS - Kelly Anderson-Person, 35, of Hendricks, admitted violating the terms of her release, and posted bail to get out of jail following a court appearance on Tuesday in district court in Yellow Medicine County.
She was also arraigned on two new misdemeanor charges during the court appearance. The City of Clarkfield charged that she violated the terms of a domestic abuse no contact order. The new charges and the violation come one month after she had been warned by the court that she could face a harsher sentence for her conviction on child endangerment charges if she violated the terms of her release.
Anderson-Person pleaded guilty March 4 to gross misdemeanor child endangerment. She was accused of pulling a revolver from under a sofa in her home in Clarkfield and attempting to commit suicide while being interviewed by law officers and holding her then 9-month-old daughter.
The gun discharged as officers wrestled it from her. No one was injured.
Officers from South Dakota were at her home on Aug. 13, 2013, to question her about the remains of two infants -a boy and girl - found in a grove of trees near Fish Lake in Deuel County, S.D.

Anderson-Person told the officers that she had given birth to two infants in 2009 and 2011 while living in Hendricks in Lincoln County and had disposed of the bodies, according to court documents.
In her court appearance on Tuesday, Anderson-Person admitted she violated the terms of her release by consuming beer on her birthday on March 22, according to Assistant Yellow Medicine County Attorney Stacy Vinberg. She had been free on her own recognizance, but as a result of the violation District Judge Dwayne Knutsen set bail at $6,000 for release with conditions, and $10,000 for unconditional release.
She was briefly held in jail before posting the bond.
The two misdemeanor charges for violating the domestic abuse order allege that she contacted her husband by text message and sent a Valentine’s card to him asking that he convey it and a message to their child.
She is scheduled to be sentenced May 6 on the child endangerment conviction. She could face up to a year in jail.
