Alissa DeGrote and Justin Platt, both of Willmar, are engaged to be married July 24 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar.
DeGrote is the daughter of Jeff DeGrote of Clara City and Kelly Benson of Morton.
She is a 2006 graduate of MACCRAY High School in Clara City and expects to graduate in December from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall with a degree in early childhood education. She is employed by Divine Home Care as a personal care attendant.
Platt is the son of Jerry and Dawn Platt of Willmar.
He is a 2006 graduate of Willmar Senior High School and a 2008 graduate of Ridgewater College. He is employed by Cub Foods as an assistant department manager.
