MONTEVIDEO -- Delores Lorraine "Del" Johnson, 83, of Montevideo died Friday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 24, 1925, in Sleepy Eye to William and Esther (Stockdill) Allen. She moved to the Montevideo area with her family as a small child and attended rural schools.
On Nov. 27, 1942, she married James R. Johnson in Montevideo. Before her retirement in 1992, she worked at the Ben Franklin store in Montevideo for more than 23 years. She had been a resident of Steeple Point Assisted Living in Osseo for the past two months. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo.
She is survived by a daughter: Kathleen Heinle of Maple Grove; one grandson; three sisters: Fern Dirksen of Clara City, Violet Underwood of Montevideo and Bernice Crosby of Apache Junction, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; a son-in-law: Allen Heinle; three brothers; and three sisters.
