Delvin M. Lindblad

SVEA -- Delvin Milroy Lindblad, 79, of Svea died Thursday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Svea Lutheran Church. Burial will in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.

He was born June 5, 1928, in Willmar to Carl and Amy (Freed) Lindblad. He grew up in the Svea and Blomkest area where he attended school, and he graduated from Willmar High School in 1946. He farmed with his father on the family farm.
He married Darlene Strey on June 8, 1951. They lived and farmed south of Svea. Delvin lived on the farm his entire life until moving to Svea in 1997.
He was a member of Svea Lutheran Church and served in Luther League and on the church council. He also served on the Lake Lillian Township Board.
He is survived by his wife of Willmar; sons: Dean Lindblad and Dan (and Renee) Lindblad, all of Svea; two grandsons; and sisters: Aldora Franzen and Eileen (and Ralph) Olson, all of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
