RAYMOND -- Dennis Agre, 72, of St. Cloud, formerly of Raymond, died Sunday at the St. Cloud Veterans Medical Center.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Raymond. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Memorials are preferred to Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater, St. John's Lutheran Church in Raymond or Hospice.
He was born Dec. 23, 1934, to Morrel and Viola (Hegdahl) Agre. He grew up on a farm in rural Sacred Heart.

He married Linda Boelter on May 4, 1956, in Raymond. He joined the military in 1958, and was stationed at Fort Eustis, Va., and Atlanta General Depot, Forest Park, Ga. After he served in the military, they moved to Raymond. He went into the carpet installation business in 1965 and moved to Newport News, Va. They returned to Raymond in 1976 and he worked in the implement business with Linda's family. He retired in 1995. They joined a travel club and lived throughout the United States. They spent summers in Clear Lake. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2005 and moved to the hospice unit at the Veterans Medical Center in St. Cloud.
He was involved in the Raymond Volunteer Fire Department, St. John's Lutheran Church, Sportsmen's Club, American Legion and was a Golden Eagle Member.
He is survived by his wife; daughters: Denise (and Kevin) Gill of Columbia, Mo., Darcy (and Peter) Eigen of Bowlus; three grandchildren; and three brothers: Wayne (and Carolyn) Agre of New London, Tom (and Barb) Agre of Granite Falls, and Dave Agre of Maynard.
