MINNEAPOLIS -- Dennis Raymond Krienke, 86, of Minneapolis, formerly of the Hector area, died Sunday at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector. Burial will be at the Hector City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and will continue for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

He was born July 10, 1921, in Fosston to Walter and Pauline (Zimanske) Krienke. In 1940, he graduated from the Sleepy Eye High School. He was in the United States Army from 1942 to1946; where he served in the Asiatic Theater. He graduated from the Mid-West Motive Trades Institute Jan. 30, 1943. He also farmed.

He married Audrey Murray July 16, 1976. They lived on a farm outside of Hector. They later lived in Hector, Bird Island and Olivia. He was a resident of the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis at the time of his death.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector.

He is survived by his step-daughter: Judy (and Dick) Scheihing of Renville.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, including one in infancy.
