Dennis S. Tharaldson

STARBUCK -- Dennis Seymoure Tharaldson, 76, of Starbuck died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at East Zion Lutheran Church in rural Starbuck. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Starbuck Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born Dec. 25, 1929, on the family farm in Langhei Township, Pope County, to Olaf and Gilma (Bendickson) Tharaldson. He grew up in Langhei Township where he attended District 22 rural school. He worked on the family farm.
He married Ester Larson on March 7, 1954, in Villard. They lived and farmed in Langhei Township.
He was a member of East Zion Lutheran Church and the Starbuck Card Room.
He is survived by his wife; five children: Barbara Larson of St. Paul Park, Steve (and Vicki) Tharaldson of Eden Prairie, JoAnne (and Chuck) Thompson of Roseau, Denise (and Mark) Buller of Excelsior; Bruce Tharaldson (and special friend Linda) of Oak Grove; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters: Sylvia (and Lloyd) Vindedahl of Glenwood, Gaye (and Harry) Klyve of Benson and Joyce Nornes of Little Canada.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; a son-in-law: Don Larson; and two brothers.
