DeRock's shooting leads Hamline to MIAC win

Jon DeRock, Hamline freshman who played for Buffalo Lake-Hector last season, scored 22 points to lead the Pipers (1-1, 2-3) to a 81-75 victory over Carleton in Northfield on Saturday in MIAC basketball. DeRock sank 9-of-12 shots, pulled down nine rebounds and had six assists. The Pipers are under second-year coach Barry Wohler, a native of Bird Island.
