WILLMAR -- Construction on County Road 10 west of Spicer is scheduled to begin this week, resulting in detours that could last about two months.
The area under construction is located between U.S. Highway 71 and 54th Street Northeast on County Road 10.
This project includes work at the intersections of County Road 9.
Work will consist of removing pavement, grading and bituminous surfacing, according to the Kandiyohi County Public Works Department.
Through traffic will be diverted to U.S. Highway 71 and state Highway 23, with through traffic on County Road 9 detoured to County Road 40 west of New London. Local traffic should use caution and be aware of construction activities, according to county officials.

Weather permitting, this phase of the project should be substantially completed in eight weeks.
The project is to be completed in November, except for the final bituminous surfacing, which will be placed in the early summer of 2007.
Motorists are reminded to slow down for their safety and the safety of the workers as construction continues.
Duininck Bros. Inc. of Prinsburg is the prime contractor and Thielen Construction is the grading contractor.
