WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. -- Dick Nelson, 67, of West Yellowstone, Mont., formerly of Pennock and Paynesville, died May 12 in Ennis, Mont.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.

He was born Aug. 12, 1939, in Blue Earth to John and Viola (Coxworth) Nelson. He grew up and went to school in Blue Earth and St. James.

He married Elaine Brummond. They divorced.

He married Shirley Noor. They lived in Pennock, Paynesville and then Wisconsin. He worked at various trucking companies and also was an owner and an operator. He owned the Square Deal Bar and Grill in St. James for many years. After moving to Montana, he opened and ran the Square Deal Bar and Grill for the last four years.

He is survived by his children: Scott Nelson of Madelia, Todd (and Glenna) Nelson of Murdock, Traci Nelson of Kerkhoven, Dallas Neuendeldt of St. James and Dylan Nelson of St. James; a brother: Bob Nelson of New Prague; a sister: Deloris (and Ralph) Zimamski of Fairmont; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
