Felipe De Jesus Morales-Torres, 28, and Victor Gonzalez Perez, 27, both of Willmar, were arraigned Tuesday on a fifth-degree controlled substance charge.

Morales-Torres' unconditional bail was set at $25,000. Bail was set at $30,000 for Perez.

According to the complaint, around 10:50 p.m. Saturday a Willmar police officer in plain clothing was at the Double D Club. He entered the restroom and found two males in a single bathroom stall and another man standing next to the door. One of the men handed a plastic bag with a white substance in it to the other man as the officer was entering the restroom. The officer suspected the substance was methamphetamine or cocaine. The men were arrested and taken to the Law Enforcement Center. During a search, officers found another plastic bag of drugs on Perez and $672 in cash and a 200-peso bill on Morales-Torres.

When interviewed, Perez admitted to having the drugs on his person and said he bought the bag for $80 and was doing a "taste test" in the bathroom. He said the drugs were cocaine. Morales-Torres told officers that Perez asked him if he wanted to buy the drugs, he claimed he didn't want to purchase them, but later admitted that he intended to try the drugs.

When tested, both plastic bags of white substance tested positive for cocaine.
