n Wilmer Roberto Fuentes-Lopez, 26, of Willmar, was sentenced to a year and a day in prison, which was stayed, a $500 fine and five years of probation on a felony charge of aggravated forgery.

As a condition of the stayed sentence, he was ordered to serve 124 days in jail, with credit for 124 days already served, and to comply with immigration proceedings.

Fuentes-Lopez was also sentenced to 90 days in jail, with credit for 90 days served, and a $50 fine on a misdemeanor charge of identity theft.

As part of a plea agreement, four additional felony charges and a misdemeanor for identity theft were dismissed. Fuentes-Lopez is also known as Angel Luis Baez Valazquez and Pablo Raul Lugo Larroig.

The charges were filed after Willmar police found a payroll check during a Jan. 18 inventory search of a vehicle. The check, from G & S Staffing, was not for the driver or passengers of the vehicle when it was searched. Further investigation found two driver's licenses to the payee of the check, Angel Luis Baez Valazquez. Police used the license photos to identify a person who was arrested in April 2007 by the federal Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement as Pablo Raul Lugo Larroig.

Police also discovered that the man's real name was Wilmer Roberto Fuentes-Lopez, that he was a Honduran national and that he used both identities to gain employment. Officers received signed employment documents from G & S and Jennie-O Turkey Store in each of the false names.

- Jennifer Ann Vanzee, 31, of Lake Lillian, was arraigned Tuesday on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance for possessing methamphetamine.

Unconditional bail was set at $10,000. Conditional release was allowed on her personal recognizance. She is also charged with two petty misdemeanors for speeding and not using her seatbelt.

According to the complaint, a Kandiyohi County deputy on patrol along Farmdale Avenue in Lake Lillian used radar to determine that a vehicle was speeding in a 30-mph zone. The deputy stopped the vehicle around 5:50 a.m. During the stop, the deputy determined there was no insurance on the vehicle, and informed Vanzee and a passenger that they needed to get out of the vehicle because it was to be towed. She allegedly got out of the vehicle with her pants pockets turned inside out and later got back into the vehicle and appeared to be searching the floorboards for something. She said she was reaching for her purse. When she got out of the vehicle again, she dropped something, which a deputy picked up and determined to be a plastic bag of a white crystal-like substance. She was placed into custody. The drugs tested positive as methamphetamine and had a rough weight of 1 gram.

Her next appearance is June 9.
