- Lucilia Solorio, 19, of Willmar, was sentenced Monday to five years of probation and a $100 fine on a felony charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for having a sexual relationship and a child with a then 15-year-old boy.
She received a five-year stay of adjudication on her sentence, so if she complies with the court's conditions, the conviction will not appear on her record. She was also ordered to complete a sex offender evaluation and complete her post-secondary schooling.
The charge was filed after an investigation and report from Kandiyohi County Family Services showed that Solorio was living with the boy and his family in Willmar and got pregnant by the boy in 2006. She miscarried in December 2006, but got pregnant again and was reported to be due in February 2007. In an interview with Family Services personnel, she admitted to living with the family, having sex with the boy and being pregnant with his child. In a separate interview, the boy confirmed Solorio's statements. In April, law enforcement confirmed the birth of the child on Feb. 15 and that the boy and Solorio were listed on the state parenting form. DNA samples were collected from all three and sent to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for analysis.
- Brandon Alvin Mead, 23, of Willmar, pleaded guilty Monday to a felony fifth-degree controlled substance charge.
The charge was filed after a Willmar police officer responding to a domestic call stopped a vehicle around 4:15 p.m. Aug. 13. The officer immediately recognized the passenger as Mead. The female driver said nothing was wrong and they were just driving.

The officer was informed by dispatch that Mead had a warrant for his arrest. When he stepped out of the vehicle to be handcuffed, the officer noticed a white crystal substance on his hand, the passenger seat and door handle. The substance tested positive as meth. A search of the vehicle also revealed a glass pipe with meth residue.
He will be sentenced Dec. 9.
- Nicholas Lloyd Holden, 19, of St. Louis Park, pleaded guilty Monday to a first-degree controlled substance crime for selling cocaine to a CEE-VI Drug Task Force agent on two occasions.
As part of a plea agreement, another first-degree charge will be dismissed, he will receive a stay of execution on jail time and a downward departure on his disposition.
The charges were filed after a CEE-VI agent was introduced to Holden by a confidential reliable informant for the purpose of buying a half-ounce of cocaine for $700. On March 26, the parties met in the parking lot of the Jennie-O Turkey Store plant and the introductions were made. Holden allegedly told the agent that the price was $700 for a half ounce, and that he would have to go into the plant to get the drugs. He returned in five minutes and handed over a plastic bag of drugs, which tested positive as 16 grams of cocaine.
The informant set up another buy for the agent April 15. This time the price was $800 for a half ounce of cocaine, because the drugs were better, Holden said. The men met again at the turkey plant to complete the deal. Holden went into the plant, then said his supplier was nearby, and told the agent to leave for a while. The agent returned to the parking lot a short time later and Holden handed over a cigarette pack containing 14.7 grams of cocaine.
He will be sentenced Dec. 9.
- Rodney Lee Broten, 41, of New London, was arraigned Thursday on a felony charge of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle for allegedly attempting to elude a State Patrol officer at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Unconditional bail was set at $3,000. He was allowed conditional release on his personal recognizance. His next appearance is Nov. 17.
Broten also faces misdemeanor charges for reckless driving and uninsured vehicle.
According to the complaint, a State Patrol trooper was on patrol around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday and clocked a vehicle that westbound on Highway 55, about a mile west of Regal, at between 73 and 75 mph in a 55-mph zone. The trooper turned his squad around and observed the radar was recording that the vehicle sped up to between 102 and 111 mph. The trooper activated his lights and followed the vehicle into Stearns County into Georgeville and then into Kandiyohi County on County Road 9. During the pursuit, the driver of the vehicle turned off his headlights and continued at between 100 to 110 mph. At the intersection with County Road 35, the vehicle overshot the intersection, went into the ditch and then westbound before stopping. The driver, who was identified as Broten, got out of the vehicle and laid in the roadway. Broten said he ran from the trooper because he hadn't transferred the title to the vehicle and didn't have insurance.
