n Jeremy Chris Flickinger, 21, of Spicer, pleaded guilty Friday to felony charges for second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor charge of driving while impaired.
As part of a plea agreement, another felony charge for assault, a gross misdemeanor for driving while impaired and several other misdemeanor charges will be dismissed. He will be sentenced Oct. 30.
The charges were filed after Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputies were called to investigate a fight around 3 a.m. Aug. 24 at a residence in Spicer. Officers found two vehicles, one containing two people who had been beaten up and another man, who gave the name of someone else, who they determined to be Flickinger.
Flickinger was placed into a squad car, as deputies knew he was driving after revocation of his license and had numerous alcohol violations. He failed field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.08.
During an interview with officers, he said there was an altercation between him and a former girlfriend, that she hit him and that others at his party were fighting.

Others at the scene told deputies that he had thrown rocks at the woman and struck her in the face. The woman said she was invited to the home by Flickinger, that they argued and that he picked up the rocks and threw them at her. She had a wound on her forehead, stitches on her lip and contusions on her face and arms.
Another witness said he saw Flickinger pick up the rocks and throw them at the woman from about 10 feet away and that she fell to the ground and started to bleed.
- Carmen LaNae Osmond, 27, of New London, was sentenced Friday to 21 months in prison on a third-degree controlled substance possession.
Osmond was ordered to pay the remainder of $1,712 in fines and fees with her prison earnings. She was given credit for 114 days already served.
The sentenced was executed at Osmond's request, after she admitted to probation violations of using methamphetamine.
In December, she received the stayed sentence, 10 years of probation and a $1,500 fine. Osmond pleaded guilty to the amended charge on Dec. 21. She was originally charged with a second-degree controlled substance crime and two petty misdemeanors for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers served a search warrant on her home on Nov. 14.
The officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications and drug paraphrenalia, along with a ledger with names, dollar amounts that ranged from $30 to $300 and notations if the amount was paid. The ledger included names of individuals who had recently been arrested on drug charges.
According to the complaint, Osmond told an officer she had meth on her person and produced two plastic bags containing about 3.5 grams of the drug. She told officers she obtained meth at no cost and sold it to support herself.
