NEW LONDON -- Dolores Jean Martin, 87, of New London died Monday at Glen Oaks Care Center in New London.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glen Oaks Care Center.
She was born Nov. 28, 1920, in New London to Peter G. and Annie M. (Ziehl) Johnson. She grew up in New London and graduated in 1937 from New London High School. She graduated in 1938 from the Minnesota School of Business. She worked as a secretary at the Kandiyohi Electric Co-op for nine and a half years.
She married Elmo Shelstad on Sept. 15, 1946. They sang and played music on the KWLM Radio.
She married Odell Martin in 1953. They started and operated an accounting service. In 1973, she entered the Glen Oaks Care Center due to failing health.

She was a member of Lebanon Lutheran Church. Later she was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three sisters: Margaret Lundquist and Lucille Seasedt of Paynesville and Maxine Meyers of Redwood Falls.
