GROVE CITY --Donald Alvin Berg, 81, of rural Grove City died Saturday at his home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Church in Litchfield. Burial will be at Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue for one hour prior to the service Tuesday.
He was born June 5, 1927, in Litchfield to Albin and Hilda (Olson) Berg. He graduated from Litchfield High School. He took over the family farm at 16 and farmed his whole life.
He married Donna Blue on Aug. 19, 1950, in Elk River.

He was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a deacon, board member and treasurer. He was also a member of Litchfield Christian Church. He was a member of the Meeker County Fair Board, a poultry superintendent and was active with Forest City Threshers.
He is survived by his wife; children: Franklin (and Rita) Berg of Hector, Diane (and Bob) Henderson of Wichita, Kan., Richard (and Tanya) Berg of Lakeville and Michael (and Monique) Berg of Farmington; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister: Arlene Brown of Litchfield.
