BIRD ISLAND -- Donald E. Hammer, 67, of Bird Island died Sunday at the Golden Living Center in Franklin.
A private family service will be held. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service of Bird Island.
He was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Medford to Donald and Margaret (Warday) Hammer. He graduated from High School in Wisconsin. He drove truck for many years and retired from Kottke Trucking of Buffalo Lake.
He is survived by his two sisters: Sandee (and Keith) Laffen of Bird Island and Gayle (and John) Thran of Grand Rapids.
