WILLMAR -- Donald Ordell Brandt, 74, of Willmar died Thursday at his home.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 167.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
He was born July 28, 1933, in Granite Falls to Albert and Anna (O'Toole) Brandt. He attended elementary school and graduated in 1951 from Granite Falls High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Des Moines and was discharged in 1956.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a master's degree in education. He taught for six years in Little Falls. In 1967, he moved to Willmar. He taught at Willmar High School for seven years and then taught agriculture at Willmar Vo-Tech.
He was a member of West Central Ag Sales, Good Sam Camping Club, Twilight Lions, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 163, American Legion Post 167, Kiwanis, Minnesota Education Association, National Education Association, Minnesota Vocational Ag Instructors Association and Elks.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley; daughters: Renee Jo Brandt of Willmar, Kathleen Ann (and Mike) Welch of Arden Hills, Kari Lynn (and Eric) Hanson of Windom; eight grandchildren; and sister: Darlene Harbour of Coon Rapids.
