MORTON -- Dorothy Dean Ahrens, 82, of Morton died Wednesday at Seasons in Redwood Falls.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Morton United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Crestlawn Gardens, rural Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls and for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1925, on the family farm in Flora Township, Renville County, to John and Irene (Wohlman) McCorquodale. She grew up in Delhi Township, Redwood County. She graduated in 1943 from Delhi High School.

She married Leonard Ahrens on Aug. 28, 1946, in Brookings, S.D. They lived in Morton. She was a homemaker, a bookkeeper at Montgomery Wards, a waitress at the HiWay Café, and also helped run the Morton Store. She retired in 1990.
She was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church, where she served on the church board, belonged to United Methodist Women, worked with the Methodist Youth Fellowship and taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Lioness Club and the Morton centennial committee. She served on the community education board in Morton and Redwood Falls.
She is survived by her children: Lloyd Ahrens of Morton, Deborah (and Ben) Mammen of Morton, and Jolene (and Greg Prescott) Ahrens of Morton; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister: Phyllis Gaffney of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988, a granddaughter and a sister.
