STARBUCK -- Dorothy Elaine Overgaard, 80, of Starbuck died Tuesday at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lowry. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.
She was born Oct. 10, 1927, in rural Hoffman to Elmer and Nancy (Peterson) Backlund. She attended school in Hoffman and graduated in 1945 from Kensington High School. Then she worked various jobs.

She married Arnold Overgaard on April 26, 1947, in Lowry. They farmed north of Glenwood, where they lived. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children: Gary (and Barb) Overgaard of Crown Point, Ind., Jack (and Lynda) Overgaard of Mosinee, Wis., Charles Overgaard of Richfield, Pamela (and Chuck) Williams of Bloomington, and Mary (and Steve) Schwab of Bismarck, N.D.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters: Mary Ann Schopper and Lois (and Wendell) Brosdahl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and four sisters.
