WILLMAR -- Dorothy L. Herrmann, 70, of Willmar died Monday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Slayton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born April 21, 1937, in Worthington to Ralph and Myrtle (Selby) Dickey. She grew up in the Ruthton-Balaton area. In 1951, after her father's death, she moved with her mother to Hayward, Calif. She graduated in 1955 from Hayward High School.

She married Walter Jurgens on September of 1958. They lived in Castro Valley, Calif. In 1965 they moved to Oregon living in Roseburg and Gold Hill. She worked as a medical transcriptionist.
She married Kenneth Herrmann on June 21, 1983, in Reno, Nev. They lived in Tracy. In 1986 they moved to Willmar, where she worked in medical transcription, at Kindlehope and as a counselor at Kandiyohi County Girls Group Home.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Willmar where she was in circle and Bible study. She was also a member of Eastern Star and a volunteer at Kandiyohi County Historical Society.
She is survived by her husband; son: Craig Jurgens of Eugene Ore., Cherie (and Chuck) Hunter of Troy, Mo., and Janette (and Ron McKenzie) Jurgens of Marshall; eight grandchildren; brother: Ned (and Judy) Dickey of Rockford, Ill.; and a sister: Marian Herrmann of Selma, Ore.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
