REDWOOD FALLS -- Dorothy Marie Hoffmann, 87, of Redwood Falls died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Burial will be at Crestlawn Gardens, rural Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
She was born March 2, 1920, in Balaton to Clarence and Anna Marie (Gubrund) Johnson,. She grew up in the Balaton, Tracy and Redwood Falls areas. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1939.

She married Orville Hoffmann on July 2, 1940, in Redwood Falls. They lived in Delhi, Redwood Falls, New London, Belgrade and Spring Park. She was a homemaker. Orville died in 2001.
She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, where she was in ladies' circle.
She is survived by her children: Donald Hoffmann of Fallbrook, Calif., Karen Eastby of Edwardsville, Ill., Stephen Hoffmann of Willmar, Kathryn Ireland of Watertown, and James Hoffmann of Willmar; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Thorine Skow of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and JoAnne Moore of St. Petersburg, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son: Charles; and a grandson.
