BENSON -- Dorothy Margaret Tolifson, 90, of Benson died Friday at Golden living Center in Benson.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Interment will be in Benson City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
She was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Lacrosse Township, near Heron Lake, to Jacob and Dorothy Wagner Hornickel. She grew up on the family farm and attended school through the eighth grade at Sacred Heart Catholic School. She worked on the family farm and did child care.
She married Olen Einer Tolifson on May 29, 1942, in Appleton. The farmed north of Benson.

She was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her children: Charles Tolifson of Benson, Dale (and Sandy) Tolifson, of Benson, Keith (and Lynn) Tolifson of Benson, Dennis (and Sally) Tolifson of Farwell and Diana (and Stan) Olson of Benson; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and sisters: Fritz Dorphinghaus, Gertrude Knorr and Evangeline (and Clarence) Simonson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.
