LAKE LILLIAN -- Dorothy P. Boll, 87, of Lake Lillian died Saturday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Burial is in Tromso Cemetery in rural Lake Lillian.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian and one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born Aug. 24, 1918, near Arlington, Neb., to Louis and Katherine (Slobb) Brandert. She graduated from Fremont (Neb.) High School and continued her education at Midland College in Fremont, earning her teaching certificate. She taught in Jamestown School District 34 near Scribner, Neb.

She married Glenn Boll on June 26, 1941, in Fremont. They lived on farms near Hutchinson for several years before purchasing a farm near Lake Lillian. She continued to live on the farm until 1994 when she moved to Willmar.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She also was a 4-H leader, served as culinary department superintendent at the Kandiyohi County Fair and volunteered at the Cosmos Nursing Home.

In 1998 she was named Kandiyohi County's Outstanding Senior Citizen.

She is survived by her children: Donald (and Barb) Boll of Lake Lillian, Roland (and Judy) Boll of Willmar, Dennis (and Lynne) Boll of Keller, Texas, Sharleen (and Rolf) Berg of Sherman, Texas, and Emilie (and Terry) Mikes of Willmar; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister: Lois Yarmon of Willmar.
