WILLMAR -- A 52-year-old Willmar postal worker is listed in good condition at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar after rolling her mail truck Monday afternoon along Transportation Road.

The accident was reported to the Willmar Police Department around 2:15 p.m. Police Sgt. Jim Felt said Myrna L. Loso was driving the truck south along Transportation Road -- just west of the Willmar Civic Center -- when she began swerving toward the curb. Felt said Loso over-steered while trying to avoid the curb, rolling the truck onto the driver's side and sliding for several feet.

Willmar police, fire and ambulance personnel along with the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department and Rescue Squad responded to the scene. Police officers quickly set up a road block on Transportation Road at the Civic Center Drive intersection.

Felt said when authorities first arrived, Loso was pinned in the truck by her right arm. After stabilizing the truck and Loso, Rescue Squad members began cutting the roof off the truck shortly after 2:30 p.m. A Life Link helicopter was originally called to the scene but was later diverted to Rice Memorial Hospital.

Felt said Loso had an injury to the arm, but he was unsure of how severe the injury was. Other injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening, he said.

"She was conscious, talking to everybody," Felt said.
