Drivers injured during accident in Lake Henry Township

Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries.

LAKE HENRY TOWNSHIP — Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after two vehicles collided around 4:20 p.m. Sunday about two miles west of Lake Henry at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 129, according to a news release from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.

Richard Lecher, 68, of St. Martin, was driving his 2004 Volvo V70 station wagon eastbound on County Road 19. Heidi Miller, 36, of Paynesville, was driving her 2015 GMC Yukon westbound on County Road 19 when Lecher attempted to make a left-hand turn onto County Road 129 causing the collision, according to the news release.

Both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Paynesville Ambulance transported Lecher to the Paynesville hospital. Miller was transported to the hospital by a private party.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
