WILLMAR -- Dunham's Sports of Waterford, Mich., will open a full-line sporting goods store in the Kandi Mall Shopping Center in Willmar.
The new store will offer a complete line of sporting goods, athletic equipment, active sports gear and leisure apparel.
"We are excited to add Dunham's to our mix of merchants for our customers at Kandi Mall,'' said Desiree Weinandt, Kandi Mall marketing director.
"West central Minnesota is abundant with lakes, parks and recreational activities, and the need for sporting goods is growing. There has been a void in our retail community and we felt Dunham's will fill that.''
Dunham's will occupy 22,000 square feet in the south wing of Kandi Mall. Construction began in August and a late fall opening is planned. Dunham's Sports was founded in 1937 as Dunham's Bait & Tackle, and has grown to 140 stores in 12 states. In Minnesota, Dunham's has stores in Duluth, Fairmont, Red Wing, Virginia and Waite Park.
