As of Wednesday, Willmar-area lakes were thawing about a month ahead of the median date for area lakes.
Here, a northwest wind kicked up waves and pushed the last remnants of ice to the extreme southeast corner of Eagle Lake.
The lake is five miles north of Willmar.
