EDEN VALLEY -- The cause of a crash that injured an Eden Valley firefighter is currently under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, a report of a motor vehicle crash was received around 5 p.m. Monday at 450 Smith St. S. in Eden Valley. A fire department member, who was responding to a fire page, arrived at the fire department. When he was parking his 2003 Ford truck, his foot became stuck between both the accelerator and brake pedals, causing the vehicle to drive through the exterior wall and into an interior wall of the fire department.

One firefighter was thrown as a result of the impact with the interior wall and was transported to the Paynesville Hospital by private vehicle and treated for minor injuries.
