EDEN VALLEY -- A 21-year-old Eden Valley woman was arrested early this morning after a domestic incident that involved a stabbing.
According to the Meeker County Sheriff's office, Sara Smith was arrested around 1:25 a.m. A 25-year-old man was examined at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Paynesville Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Meeker County officials were called by the Stearns County Sheriff's office, which was seeking assistance because Stearns County deputies were about 20 miles from the residence. Meeker County deputies, plus Eden Valley Police Department, Watkins Ambulance and Eden Valley Rescue were all dispatched to the home.
The incident is under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office and Eden Valley Police Department.
