Editorial: Co. Fair is made by its volunteers

Citizens will enjoy gathering, exhibiting, riding, eating and watching for the rest of the week at the Kandiyohi County Fair.

The annual summer county tradition starts at 2 p.m. today and ends Saturday night.

Those attending the Kandiyohi County Fair will see a little bit of everything -- from goats and rabbits to politicians and exhibitors. You'll hear the thrill of excitement as well as music of all kinds.

There is likely something for everyone at the County Fair.

The Kandiyohi County Fair would not begin to pull off this summer tradition without its many volunteers and workers.

Those efforts begin with the fair board members and end with the many exhibitors. In between, there are many volunteers -- from judges to ticket takers to food vendor staffs.

And one should not forget the law enforcement and rescue staff that work hard to make this County Fair free of any major problems, including parking snags.
