BAXTER -- Edna L. Perske, 102, of Montevideo died Saturday at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Baxter. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening and with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born on Sept. 2, 1904, in Lac qui Parle County to Lauritz and Emma (Moen) Johnson. She attended school in Lac qui Parle Village and in Boyd.

She married Oscar Anderson on Jan. 22, 1927, and they farmed in Camp Release Township until he died in 1941 as a result of an automobile accident.

In 1952, she married Albert Perske. She moved to her home in Montevideo in 1969 where she lived until moving to Homefront in July 2006. She was a cook at various cafes in Montevideo for many years. She was a lifelong member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Baxter where she helped organize Sunday school and was active in Ladies Aid.

She is survived by three daughters: Waunita (and Floyd) Kanten of Milan, Elizabeth (and Richard) Jurgenson of Montevideo, and Ramona (and Keith) Erickson of Montevideo; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, an infant son: Richard, two brothers and five sisters.
