STARBUCK -- Edward Gilman Aaberg, 75, of Starbuck died Tuesday at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Burial will be at Fron Lutheran Cemetery in Starbuck. Military rites will be provided by the Starbuck VFW.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck.
He was born March 18, 1931, in Blue Mounds Township, Pope County, to Gilman and Clara (Berg) Aaberg. He grew up and attended school in Starbuck. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge and moved to Minneapolis for a short time. He moved to California and worked as a truck driver for many years.He later moved back to Starbuck and worked for his nephews at the Redi Mix Plant.

He married Barnice Berg on March 5, 1984. They lived in Starbuck.
He is survived by his wife; children: Cindy (and Lyden) Moreland of Livermore, Calif., Russell (and Michelle) Aaberg of Patterson, Calif.; four stepchildren: Gene (and Karen) Berg of Parker, Ariz., Cheryl (and Brent) Shelton of Alexandria, Va., Becky (and Fred) Nelson of Livermore, Calif., Ron Peaerson of Colorado; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and six siblings: Palmer (and Joy) Aaberg of Starbuck, Gladys (and Clarence) Braaten of Onamia, Doris (and Grant) Thompson of Starbuck, Lillian (and Arvid) Flaten of Starbuck, Tina (and Julian) Hanson of Salinas, Calif., and Hilma (and Harris) Larson of Starbuck.
He was preceded in death by three stepdaughters: Annette Swensrud, Beverly Berg and Janet Berg; five brothers and one sister.
