MONTEVIDEO -- Eldora G. Mead, 92, of Montevideo died Sunday at Luther Haven in Montevideo, after a battle with breast cancer.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo.
She was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Marietta to Charles and Clara (Berndt) Meenen. She attended country school in rural Canby.
She married Fordyce Sickels in 1933. She was a homemaker. Fordyce died.
She married Marcellus Mead in 1948.

She is survived by her children: Robert (and Sheryl) Sickels of Maynard, Marlene (and Larry) Winters of St. Cloud, Julane (and Jim) Coquyt of Milroy, and Marcia Mead of Dallas; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; siblings: Kathleen Stark of Wichita, Kan., Leroy Berndt of Minneapolis, Glen (and Connie) Berndt of St. James, and Clarice Trebesch of Plymouth; and a son-in-law: Leland Foos of Montevideo.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; a son, Bill Sickels; a daughter: Edith Foos; a grandchild; and two sisters.
