LITCHFIELD -- Eleanor Catherine Kohmetscher, 91, formerly of Litchfield, died Monday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Litchfield. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, with a rosary at 4:30 and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
She was born Feb. 2, 1914, in Windom to Charles and Hattie (Paskey) Young. She lived in the Litchfield area for most of her life.

She married Paul Kohmetscher on Sept. 19, 1933, in Watkins. They lived and farmed south of Grove City on Long Lake. They retired and moved to Litchfield, where they cared for and lived in the Rosemary Home. She worked at Litchfield Laundry for many years. She moved to Gloria Dei for two years and later moved to Glen Oaks in New London.
She was a member of St. Philip's Catholic Church, the church guild, and the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by her daughter: Marlene (and Donovan) Tharaldson of New London; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Paul Jr.; son-in-law: William Wheeler; two sisters and five brothers.
