BENSON -- Eleanore D. Millett, 85, of Glenwood, formerly of Benson and Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Wednesday at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
She was born Jan. 30, 1921, in rural Union County, S.D., to Walter and Pamela (Moreau) Wagner. She attended the Walnut Grove School in rural Union County. She worked at an army munitions plant in Tacoma, Wash., during World War II.

She married Robert Millett on Nov. 5, 1944, in Renton, Wash. They moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa, and opened a sandwich shop. They moved to Renton, Wash., in 1947. They returned to Missouri Valley in 1950. Robert died in 1984. She moved to Park View Manor in Benson in 1992. She moved to Glenwood Retirement Village in 2003.
She was a volunteer at the Missouri Valley nutritional meal site and was awarded the Governor's Volunteer Award in 1989. She was a volunteer waitress at Atlantic Junction Café in Benson.
She is survived by her son: Ramon (and Francie) Millett of Benson; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
