BELVIEW -- Ella Loretta Skogen, 94, died Friday at Parkview Home in Belview.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rock Dell Lutheran Church, rural Belview, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and for one hour prior to service at the church.
She was born June 26, 1913, in Swedes Forest township, Redwood County, to Helge and Anne (Odegaard) Knutson. She attended country school District No. 52 in rural Belview.
She married Gilbert Skogen on June 27, 1934. They lived on the family farm until 1990 when they moved into Belview. She moved into Parkview Nursing Home in January 2006.

She did wallpapering and painted homes and farm buildings for many years, including painting the top part of the alter at Rock Dell Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member. They were janitors and groundskeepers at the church for 25 years. She also worked in the kitchen at Belview Public School.
She is survived her children: Eleanor (and Lloyd) Sander of Belview, Marvin (and Judy) of Hudson, Wis., Ione (and Doug) Parsons of Echo, and Gladys (and Dick) Hagen of Olivia; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons: Harvey and Gordon, in infancy; four brothers; and three sisters.
