BENSON -- Ellen Clarice Thompson, 90, of Benson died Monday at the Swift County Benson Hospital.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be at Scandi Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
She was born Jan. 10, 1916, in Kandiyohi County to Peder and Betsey (Paaverud) Lien. She grew up in the Sunburg and Pennock areas and attended country schools.

She married Casper Thompson on April 6, 1942, in Sunburg. They lived and farmed in Kerkhoven Township, Swift County. She was a housewife and helped on the family farm. They retired in 1975 and moved to Benson. She cleaned homes for families in the community.
She was active in Scandia Lutheran Church, Rolling Forks Lutheran Church and served as a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her son: Larry (and Jeanette) Thompson of Murdock.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; her parents and stepmother: Sophie Lien; one brother, and her twin sister.
