KERKHOVEN -- Elsie Marie Radtke, 90, of rural Kerkhoven died Sunday at her home.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born Oct. 15, 1915, near Jeffers in Dale Township, Cottonwood County, to Helen (Wefel) and Gustave A. Orloske. She grew up in that area and graduated from Jeffers High School. She later attended normal school in Windom. She worked as a housekeeper for a short time.

She married Detmer Aree Radtke on June 3, 1936, in Jeffers. They lived and farmed east of Sanborn for two years. They lived on a farm north of Pennock for two years, and then moved to a farm in Mamre Township. She raised chickens and sold eggs to grocery stores in Pennock, Kerkhoven and Willmar.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and active in the Ladies Aid.

She is survived by three grandchildren: Richard (and Carol) Radtke of Raymond, Regina Radtke of San Diego, Calif., Raushel Radtke (and Mike Heideman) of Kerkhoven; three great-grandchildren; and siblings: Raymond (and Arleen) Orloske of Windom, Emma Rupp of Tracy and Ruth (and Ralph) Robinson of Windom.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; son: Richard in 2005; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth; one brother; and four sisters.
