MONTEVIDEO -- Elwin Lewis Stewart, 69, of Montevideo died Monday his residence following an extended illness.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was May 17, 1936, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to William and Millicent (Bouma) Stewart.

He married Elsie Blaha on Oct. 24, 1957, in Blue Earth. They moved to Montevideo in the 1970s.
He is survived by his wife; children: Darrell Stewart (and Annjeanel Marshall) of Montevideo, Dan Stewart (and Cindy Moots) of Clearwater, Sharon Stewart (and Geoffrey Koech) of Marshall; 10 grandchildren; and one sister: Marge Anderson of Ames, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
